The Bernie Mac Show My Wife and Kids, The Practice The Practice, and My Wife and Kids. Handler worked on The Tonight Show for a period of time as a correspondent. Handler made her breakthrough in 2006 when she started hosting her own show on E! It was called The Chelsea Handler Series. The show ran for two seasons. Handler was then able to perform throughout her native United States as part of the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend & HBO have shown Handler's stand-up shows. The show was announced to host the The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in 2010. With this, she became the first woman to host the VMA's following Roseanne Barr.
